House of Representatives Secretary General Reginald Velasco, together with Senate Secretary Renato Bantug, on Monday walked attendees to the final SONA inter-agency coordination meeting along the path that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will take when he delivers his second State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Sec-Gen. Velasco, who was assisted by House Deputy Secretary-General Atty. Grace Andres of the Inter-Parliamentary and Public Affairs Department (IPAD), assured officials from the Office of the President that all the places the President would stay or go during the duration of his stay at the HREP have been adequately prepared.
The walk-through commenced at the arrival area for Pres. Marcos. From there, the President, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Senate President Miguel “Migz” Zubiri, as well as members of the House and Senate welcoming party will be escorted towards the Legislators’ Executive Lounge, where they will stay before proceeding to the Plenary Hall, the venue for the President's SONA scheduled at 4pm.
Aside from officials from the Office of the President (OP), the secretariat officials of Congress, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Presidential Security Group (PSG), Department of Health (DOH), Quezon City Police Department (QCPD), the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and members of the HREP-accredited media also joined the walk-through.
