The Media Affairs and Public Relations Service (MAPRS) of the House of Representatives (HRep) met with members of the HRep-accredited media Tuesday to finalize coverage arrangements for the second State of the Nation Address (SONA) of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on July 24, 2023.
MAPRS Director Joaquin Romeo Santiago shared the new media coverage policy of HRep Secretary General Reginald Velasco in the morning before the actual SONA, and sessions after moving forward. He also relayed how Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) provided a window before the SONA when television networks can test the RTVM feed to their channels.
As in previous years, accredited media organizations were also provided with spaces where they can cover government officials entering the Batasan Complex for the SONA along the red carpet.
Representatives from some media organizations shall also be seated at the Plenary Hall as guests during the SONA.
